Abandoned or broken theme? Find out if it’s worth saving.
A senior engineer reviews your theme and gives you a written verdict — patch it, fix it with a child theme, or rebuild — with a fixed price for each. $99, credited toward whichever fix you choose.

Signs your theme needs rescuing
Any two of these and the theme is at least dormant. Four or more and it's abandoned — the fix gets harder the longer you wait.
- !No theme update offered in over a year
- !Update button fails, or updates wipe your customisations
- !Layout broke after a PHP or WordPress upgrade
- !Theme or its bundled page builder is gone from the marketplace
- !Support tickets to the author go unanswered
- !Security scanner flags the theme as outdated or vulnerable
Our commitment
What $99 gets you
Verdict within one business day
An engineer looks at the actual theme code — not a scanner — and writes back with what's wrong and what it will take.
Three honest options, one recommendation
Adopt and patch, child-theme fix, or clean rebuild. We tell you which we'd pick for your site and why, with a fixed price for each.
$99 credited toward the fix
Go ahead with any option and the assessment fee comes off the price. Decide not to, and you still own a written diagnosis you can hand to anyone.
How it works
Four steps, one business day
Checkout and tell us the site
Pay the $99 and enter your site URL. You'll get portal access and a short intake form: theme name, what broke, when it started.
We inspect the theme
Code quality, PHP compatibility, dead dependencies, direct edits that block updates, bundled plugins, and any known vulnerabilities in the version you're running.
You get a written verdict
Plain English: what's failing and why, whether the theme is worth keeping, and the exact fix we recommend with a fixed price and timeline.
You choose — or don't
Approve the fix and the $99 is credited. Prefer to sit on it, or take the report to another developer? That's fine too. No pressure, no subscription.
Why an assessment first
The expensive mistake is guessing
The two worst outcomes we see are opposites: a full rebuild of a site that only needed a twenty-line patch, and months of patching a theme that was always going to need replacing. Both happen because someone decided before anyone looked at the code.
An abandoned theme is not a dead end. The code is on your server. In most cases it can be adopted, patched for current PHP and WordPress, and kept running for years. Sometimes it genuinely can’t, and you deserve to hear that before you spend money on it.
